See it and Believe it Events
According to CLTs across the country, meeting with other Community Land Trusts is often the best (and most inspiring) way of thinking about how to develop your scheme. Over 2017-18, the Network will be running a series of six See it and Believe it events, at locations across England and Wales where those interested in CLTs can gather together to be inspired at an event hosted by a local CLT.
What can you expect?
Attending a See it and Believe it event will allow you to spend a day visiting a CLT site, meeting others on a similar journey to you and hearing from partners involved with CLTs. We hope you will learn from others and make strong networks to support your own project to flourish.
Topics that were previously covered in the See it and Believe it events include: working with your local authority, sustainable construction, refurbishing empty properties, navigating the planning process and partnering with private developers.
Bursaries will be available to members of the National CLT Network to everyone interested in the movement is able to attend an event.
As we are currently developing the programme, we would be grateful for the input of those who would like to attend one (or more!) of our events. To add your thoughts, please complete this survey. If you are interested in attending an event, please sign up to our mailing list for updates.
We are also looking for hosts to inspire the public and promote community-led housing. If you're interested in making your CLT an inspiration for others, please see this news piece for more information and how to apply.
If you have any questions about the See it and Believe it Peer Learning Programme or would like to arrange a visit, we would be delighted to hear from you. Please contact Polly Adams-Felton via email at email@example.com or via telephone on 020 3096 7793.
The See it and Believe it Peer Learning Programme for CLTs is managed by the National CLT Network and funded by the Tudor Trust.
