This event is part of our See it and Believe it project, and Sustainable Housing for Inclusive and Cohesive Cities initiative.
See it and Believe it
See it and Believe it is an initiative to galvanise and inform anyone interested or already involved in community-led housing. These immersive peer-to-peer learning events give attendees direct access to a variety of community land trust projects across the country and explore how they came to be. With talks from experts, communities with hands on experience and an opportunity to build relationships, these events aren’t to be missed!
Cornwall CLT was established in 2007 and since then has been helping local communities set up their own CLT or Housing Working Party. They have developed or helped to deliver 236 homes since their establishment. They plan to have 3 schemes completed, which will have 120+ more homes by 2021.
The Duloe Site
Dulue is just one of many sites developed by Cornwall CLT. The site is still under development and will see 18 new homes brought to Duloe. We will be getting a tour around the development and have the opportunity to put questions to the folks who made it happen!
What to expect
Morning - Arrival and stretching your legs
We'll be hearing from some of the folks who pulled this project off. After being introduced to Cornwall CLT we will then get a tour around one of their sites.
Lunch - Chit, chat
Lunch will be provided and will be a great opportunity to network and talk more informally about what's happening in your community with other attendees.
Afternoon - The nitty gritty
After lunch, we will be hearing more from Keswick CLT and other experts to get a breakdown on how they got the project to where it is today.
After the event - Networking
The event is due to end at 16:00. You are free to head to a local pub for informal networking.
