Thursday 27 July 2017

The Rural Urban Synthesis Society (RUSS), a community land trust based in Lewisham, have received a pledge of £30,000 from the Mayor of London, as part of his Crowdfund London initiative.

RUSS are currently raising money for a community space, which will form part of their self-build housing development at Church Grove in Ladywell. The community space will house a School of Community-led Housing piloted by RUSS, providing a knowledge hub to inspire and train other groups interested in self-build and affordable housing.

RUSS have so far raised £38,300 towards their crowdfunding target of £55,000. In order to support their campaign, visit their Space Hive site.
