We’re pleased to announce that the Minister for Housing and Planning, Alok Sharma MP, will give the opening speech at the Community-Led Housing Conference, on Monday 27 November.
The addition of Sharma to the programme, who has said he wants to see a housing market that works for everyone, will be welcomed by community-led housing groups who have been campaigning for news on the future of the £300m Community Housing Fund.
The scale of the conference is unprecedented for the sector. And with nearly 400 delegates expected, including community-led housing groups, local authorities, housing associations, architects, think tanks and policy makers, the popularity demonstrates how much the movement has grown in recent years.
The first-ever Community-Led Housing Conference will take place at the Congress Centre in London. It will be a chance to consider how we move community-led housing to the mainstream and offers a range of practical sessions for community-led housing groups.
On the day, delegates will be able to choose from a selection of plenary sessions and practical workshops.
