Meeting with other Community Land Trusts is often the best (and most inspiring) way of thinking about how to develop your scheme. At least, that's the feedback we've had from CLTs across the country.
Our See it and Believe it peer learning program has already ensured that dozens of CLTs across the country have had the truly special opportunity to visit and see for themselves the work of another group of volunteers just like them.
The National CLT Network wants to open this experience up more widely, to more CLTs, creating more opportunities for CLTs to meet and share and grow. We'll be inviting CLTs to a series of events around the country in the new year, hosted by CLTs for CLTs. Keep your eyes open for a date near you.
CLTs already confirmed as hosts include:
- Glendale Gateway Trust
- Norton-sub Hamdon Community Land Trust
- Queen Camel Community Land Trust
- Cherwell Community Land Trust
A calendar and full information will be released via our website and mailing list shortly. In the meantime, If you'd like to find out more or express an interest in hosting a future event, contact Zoe@communitylandtrusts.org.uk.
The See it and Believe it grant program will continue to run alongside the calendar of events, offering grants of up to £500 to help National CLT Network members or Start Up affiliates cover the costs of visiting another CLT to share inspiration and knowledge. So if you want to see a particular scheme not listed here, or you can't make it on the date, talk to us about using the grants to arrange your own visit.
This grant can be used to cover transport, catering and accommodation costs, as well as a small fee to the CLT host. To find out more or apply to the grant program, click here.
